Coffee & Commission Chat

A brass trumpet placed on a wooden table inside a black hard case with a soft interior lining. The case is open, displaying the trumpet. The background includes kitchen items on a counter and a chair near the table.

Customer:

This trumpet belongs to my brother. I remember him playing it in the school band. I have been looking after it for him for about 20 years. It’s still in good condition and should really be played.

Every time I see it it reminds me of him. He was an excellent player and the joy this brings back to me is everything. I used to play an instrument as well, so I connect emotionally with how playing feels. I’m sure he would connect with that feeling in the same way and I figure his birthday is coming up and I would like a meaningful gift for him.

During our 5–10 minute chat, we’ll discuss:

  • The story behind your object

  • The emotional and visual value it holds

  • Ideas for transforming it into a hyperrealism artwork

  • The best ways to display and preserve the piece beautiful

Kylie:

This is a wonderful artifact that could definitely become a wonderful hyperrealim artwork.

Have you ever looked at it from a different angle? Sometimes we get so used to looking at an object from one or two view points only, and we miss out on the other interesting and beautiful ways to see it.

This is what makes hyperrealism art stand out from just photographs or other forms of artwork. Different view points that make us see it in a new light, but also it gives us an old and a new emotional connection that will last forever.

Let’s talk about how it should be presented….

I only take on a limited number of commission projects at a time to keep each piece highly personal and detailed.

Your Questions, Answered
  • Unfortunately that question is different for each person. There are a number of different factors that need to be taken into consideration.

We can go through that in our chat.

  • Great question. A photograph is stagnant. Generally it will sit either in an album or on your phone with love only when you happen to breeze past it. A hyperrealim artwork is unlike any photo your camera holds. It is a fine art piece with soul and energy and will give you and whom ever connects with it, joy… forever.

  • No! You are no way obligated to follow through with the commission.
